About Me

Meet Arabella Hancock IBCLC CLEC LCCE CD-PIC

Originally from England, Arabella’s journey to become an educator and advocate for maternal and infant health started after the birth of her first child in 2002. A fascination with the process of childbirth combined with an already strong interest in nutrition drove Arabella to switch careers from a successful media consultant to pursue midwifery.  In 2006 Arabella moved to So Cal with her husband and two children and realized how different the birth experience is in the USA.  Coming from a country that supports the midwifery model to a country that has a medicalized practice was an eye-opener! With nearly one-third of babies being delivered via cesarean birth, Arabella changed her career focus to childbirth education, she was board-certified as a lactation consultant and trained as a Doula to provide much-needed support for new families. Arabella is highly credentialed and committed to providing women and their partners with outstanding care.
